The Grand Tour Gallery is a new annual initiative of the Glebe Chamber of Commerce to provide a public space for Australian photographers to showcase their photographic artworks.
It brings the entire suburb of Glebe to life by taking art to the streets versus a conventional gallery environment.
Glebe is the ideal venue for the Grand Tour because of the suburb’s creative roots and rich artistic history, and will provide a platform for photographers around the country to showcase their work in an unconventional setting.
150 Locals was chosen as the theme for the inaugural Grand Tour exhibition to coincide with Glebe’s 150th birthday, and will be the first of many photographic exhibitions hosted by the gallery on an annual basis.
The artistic community will be invited to curate future exhibitions, which will have a different theme each year.
More details about submitting photographic artworks for future exhibits will be made available by the end of this year.
